Well, I`ve been a kde man ever since, but perhaops this will change ...

The controls for system configuration have been splitt into several
submenus based on the configuration task.
This snapshot shows how applications are organized in the menu :
similar apps are grouped together, with those most often used easiely
reachable.
Some, but not all tools have a gui. So sometimes one forgets that they
are aviable at all.
Therefore the 'special' applications that are pure terminal/console
applications have menu entries that call them in a terminal window.
